Sounds like you need an official....

Dang - I'll miss all this fun!

These competitions are intended to be fun, and not too serious.

The officials will be the ride leaders, but in many cases, we will have to rely on the riders to place themselves. In the event of ties or draws, the points will be split between the riders.

What about the overall points leader (KOM and Sprint combined)?

I can call these right now:
KOM: Chad Macy
KOS: Baker if he shows, if not Cullen
Heaviest: Schmeichel
Lightest: Jordan
heaviest bike: whatever Neil rides
lightest bike: Frye
Cycling Addict: Cullen

I know they are for fun, but I was looking for a reason to SAG the whole thing and jump ahead for the 'judging'. I have to exercise *something* I will use this season, and Skib says it is my eyes...

Watch out for Frye on those sprints. That guy puts out some CRAZY-high watts!

Thanks Hanz. I knew that would come from somewhere.

I think the new Macy rig will better me in the lightest category.

Nope. Throw this competition out and save it for real races. Let's focus more on LSC team riding here.

The goal should be to get everyone out on their bike in the morning and everyone to the homestead at the end of the day with lots of miles in their legs. As a team. Stronger riders block the wind, help other up the hills, etc.

Those KOMs and KOSs will take care of themselves out there. They always do.

Good point Dan. The overall goal of the rides, stated perfectly in your comment, remains the same.

Keep in mind we have a strong group of riders, and camp gives us an excellent opportunity to test ourselves against each other. This happens every year on the climbs and in the sprints, sanctioned or not.

I don't expect scoring the climbs and sprints to change the outcomes, just add some fun.

Are you going to have jerseys for the leaders? What's the payout? Maybe you could do this for every training ride of the year? You know, just for fun...

I'm only a couple of happy meals away from heaviest rider...

I am 100 salads away from not being the heaviest rider...

I know for a fact that Painman has me beat in the Lightest bike category by at least 2 pounds! We had a preliminary weigh-in last night. Wheel choice makes a huge difference!
