A New Chapter

Another Minnesota Racing season is over, my 13th. I have raced 434 races during those 13 seasons, all for Loon State Cyclists/Bicycle Chain.

Given Jordan's progression in the past 2 years, he and I decided it was time to consider a change that would allow him to continue to grow and learn as a cyclist.

In 2009, we will both be riding for MBRC/Flanders. It was a tough decision for me to make the change. It will provide me with a better opportunity to move up to regular racing in the Cat 1/2's, as well as provide a great learning environment for Jordan.

That being said, the 2008 cyclocross season is not quite over yet. Jordan and I will be flying the LSC colors at WI State next weekend, as well as Jingle Cross, and Cross Nationals.

I look forward to seeing all the LSC faithful at Donimator's year end party to celebrate another successful season for Loon State.

It's the end of an era.

Will Loon State retire your jersey?

@smithers: Yes. It will be in the display case at BJ's right next to yours.

Jimmer, only you would know the exact number of races you've been in for 13 years! And that's a pretty healthy average btw...

Will miss u, Love Skibby

Nothing is more feared in nature than the call of the Loon, now it will strike fear into you as well.

You will be the old guy on the team. Lead by example, Jim.

Jim, we all know that you're too personable to ride for Flanders. Who are you kidding?

Just playin'. I'll see you and Jordo in WI and Iowa. Look forward to it.

You know, Red makes your butt look big.

Does this make you the LSC unfaithful?

Hoping to be Dewey's doppleganger next year, eh Jimmer?! Look out for the Red and the Green next year, looks like.

Understandable given your upward move to CAT 2. What happens when Frye, Cleary and Macy move up next year? Will you come back or will they go to Flanders? As for Jordan, I give him one year tops at Flanders. I expect him to be racing with Lance's new development team the next year...
