15 year old girls and their cellphones...
Maren's Cell Phone Usage last month:
1650 minutes = 27.5 hours.
1701 text messages = 57/day.
She had 2 separate calls that lasted 130 minutes, and 120 minutes each.
Thankfully we have a family plan with unlimited text message plan, and pretty much all of her minutes are mobile-to-mobile and nights and weekends, which are free.
What is even more amazing is that she never uses her cellphone during school hours, since it is forbidden.
My Cell Phone Usage last month:
499 minutes = 8 hours
12 text messages
I'm an amateur.

Yeah...forbidden.
I know kids who can text without even taking the phone out of their pocket. Sneaky little buggers.
At least she's not tying up the household phone like she would be back in the day!
Since Dec 10, Lukas has had 4310 text messages and used 5396 minutes. Thankfully I also have unlimited text and his phone minutes are off peak. This has exploded since he got a girlfriend. Welcome to the new generation...
you have to remember that the past 2 weeks were christmas vacation, no school, so more texting time...
In the most recent month Debbie and I combined for 283 minutes of talky talk.
I'm ... trying ... to ... resist...
Perhaps resistance is futile, but my soon-to-be-14-yr-old has no cell phone. She is definitely outnumbered amongst friends. But her friends pretty much send cute pictures of puppy dogs and 'waz up' text messages to each other. Do they really need this? - no.
donimators cell phone minutes last month 5760=96 hours
